Welcome to the very first Mindful Style Note. I’m the Mindful Style Guy and here, we talk about style that elevates your mood, which in turn benefits your work and life.

“So, it’s just another style blog, right?”

Not exactly, this is more like a personal development blog; let’s call it “personal style development.” We don’t just look at outfits or make listicles of “10 pants every man must own.” Instead, we talk about how you can live more inspired via cool style. And style is super broad, as I will explain later (it’s more than outfits and accessories). We take inspiration from trends, without entirely following them. That’s where unique, but accessible style is created.

Ok, this won’t come as a surprise: It all comes down to confidence. If you feel great about yourself, if you take care of yourself, you’ll perform better. That’s simple.

I’m here to show you that. Every week, we’ll look at some aspect of the Mindful Stylish Life, whether that’s a piece of clothing, accessory, music, film, art, architecture, technology; everything that puts you in the right state of mind to live inspired.

Let’s kick off the blog with a brief explanation of Mindful Style. So, as I said, the way we take care of ourselves reflects on how we feel. Taking care is more than wearing clothes that make you feel good or to moisturize your face. It’s habits, what we eat, what media we consume, our exercise, what we read, etc.

But before all that, it’s how you perceive yourself. To make stuff more tangible, how do you see yourself? I see myself as a Rockstar, an artist. There, that sets my mood, my composure, how I carry myself. And we go from there. I wear the clothes that I think make me feel like the way I see myself.

Here’s the best thing about all this. When you know how you want to manifest yourself, the act of getting dressed becomes so much easier. It becomes fun. You get dressed quicker in the morning; you don’t waste time. You’re already in your element.

So, it’s simple, what do you gravitate towards? Who do you want to be? Just put some thought into it. Browse the internet, research the people you look up to, whose style interest you.

And sure, there’s a pandemic going on. You might not go out as much as you used to. But here’s the thing. Style is for you. Not for others. The whole point is that your style makes you feel better. Even at home.

Have a mindfully stylish weekend. Peace out,

The Mindful Style Guy
